This album is dedicated to the Torta Surfing Crew. You guys don't know how much we missed you!!! Pao and I kept on talking about how extremely stoked we all would've been in Calicoan...let's plan a trip here soon!

Nothing beats a 3-day vacay in a lovely resort on a serene island, with good company, excellent food and GREAT, CONSISTENT WAVES! If dark blue forecasts all over the Philippines meant glassy, shoulder-high to overhead waves in Calicoan...can we just live here please? :)

Thanks to Chelu, Pao & I joined Pao Soler's first ever roll-out of the PHILIPPINE S.P.Y. ACADEMY - a program that gives you extreme doses of stoke thru its surf, poi and yoga (thus, the name SPY) courses.

And the instructors? Only the best...

We sure were all worked up the entire weekend but we couldn't have had it any other way! Sleeping early and waking up at 5AM to surf was the way to go - CHEERS TO THE DAWN PATROL ;)

Thanks to Master Corey & Master Paolo for all the motivation and constructive, fine-tuning tips you have given us. You guys are THE best ;) And thanks as well to the rest of the crew - our roomies Shawn & Ipe, JP, Lorraine, Migui, Mark, Bonbon and Tinkay for a perfect weekend spent with you guys!
